Hi! My name is Greg Proctor. I’m a registered patent agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Look me up. My registration number is 73,819. I work in Silicon Valley, California, drafting and prosecuting patent applications. For the most part, I work on software-based patents. However, I have experience with mechanical and electromechanical patents as well.
Setting some expectations.
Patent law is complicated, and we want to write in a way that’s enjoyable to read. As a result, the content we produce is never the full and complete explanation of a topic. To write in such detail would put you to sleep; we don’t want that.
Help me make PatentDirection a collaborative experience. Comment on a post or drop us a question in the Contact page and we’ll respond within 24 hours. Tell us about your startup and how we can help you achieve your goals.
If you’re new to patents, be sure to check out the Start Here article first. It’s located in the “Start Here” tab. The Start Here article is good summary of the basic patent law concepts that you should know.
